A free legal advice service run by Aston Law School students, under the supervision of a solicitor. Our commercial clinic is supported by DWF Law LLP.

Aston Law Clinic, as part of Aston Law School, roots its approach in the business environment. We provide a range of free legal services for:

Please note, if your matter is too complex for us to handle or is outside of our remit then we can refer you elsewhere for legal advice.

Employment Law Clinic

Open during term-time only.

We provide free advice on general HR issues within a business, as well as assisting with the drafting of documents such as employment contracts and HR policies.

We cannot act for you in Employment Tribunals or litigated matters.

Intellectual Property Clinic

Open during term-time only.

We carry out free intellectual property health checks for businesses. We also host training sessions and support with drafting materials to increase awareness of intellectual property issues.

We are unable to register trademarks or patents for you.

General Business Clinic

Open during term-time only.

We can assist with issues such as reviewing a lease for a business taking on its first premises, making sure that a new website has an appropriate privacy policy, drafting standard terms and conditions of business or looking over a business plan to flag any legal issues.

We are unable to assist with shareholder agreements, tax advice or with any litigated matters.
