Degree Apprenticeships

National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week will take place from the 6th - 12th of February 2023, and we have exciting activities planned for that week:

  • Sharing our employers and apprentices journey with Degree Apprenticeships.
  • Twitter takeover Q&A session on Thursday the 9th of February from 12-2pm, ask our Apprentice about Degree Apprenticeships.
  • Listen to our podcast featuring Aston's experts discussing how a strong talent pipeline can help businesses weather turbulent times.

National Apprenticeship Week gives us an opportunity to reflect on the value of apprenticeships as a tool to develop employees' skills and knowledge generating a talented workforce equipped with future-ready skills.

Degree apprenticeships offer work-based route to higher education to those who are already established in their careers as well as school leavers.

Designed in conjunction with employers and professional bodies to fill skill gaps in business and industry, apprenticeships give learners the knowledge and know-how to further their career and obtain a full degree - with no fees and no student debt.

All of the learning is designed so apprentices can directly apply their new knowledge and skills in the workplace on a day-to-day basis. Personal and professional performance will also improve with the support of coaches and mentors from both Aston University and their employer.
