T Levels are an alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other courses for 16 to 19 year olds. Equivalent to 3 A levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.

As a pioneer of the work placement year, and as a partner in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Institute of Technology, Aston University appreciates the benefits of the practical, work-related focus of T levels. We will accept T levels as an entry qualification for a number of our undergraduate degree programmes.

T levels are graded as pass, merit, distinction or distinction*. The overall grade is worked out by using the individual grade for the core part of a student’s study (A*-E), and their grades for the subject specialisms (pass, merit or distinction).

Please check the relevant course to find out if the T level you are studying will be accepted for your chosen course and for more information about the specific entry grades that will be required. Alternatively, view our T Levels webpage which shows the full list of undergraduate courses that accept T Levels.
