Following my dreams at Aston

I’ve always dreamed of opening my own dance school - a space where people can learn and appreciate the beauty of Indian classical dance. My passion for this art drives me, and Aston has given me the tools and confidence to turn this dream into a reality.

Planning for university came with its challenges, but Aston provided incredible support every step of the way. From the Learning Development Centre (LDC) helping me navigate academic pressures, to the Students’ Union offering support during homesickness, I’ve always felt like I had a safety net.

A course that aligns with my passion

My course offers the ideal combination of practical experience and academic diversity. It’s aligned with my career goals, giving me the confidence to pursue my ambitions of starting my own business. The subjects are genuinely engaging, and the practical learning ensures I’ll be prepared for the real world.

As a member of the Enactus Aston society, I’ve worked on social entrepreneurship projects that create positive change within the community. It’s been an incredible opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals while making a tangible impact. At Aston, I’ve found more than just an education - I’ve found a community, opportunities to grow, and the confidence to chase my dreams.

Discovering Birmingham

Being in Birmingham, a vibrant and multicultural city, has been an adventure in itself. There’s always something happening - cultural festivals, live music, art exhibitions, and theatre performances. As a foodie, I’ve loved exploring the city’s diverse cuisines, experimenting with cooking at home, and uncovering unique spots to eat and relax.
