The best decision for me

I chose Aston University because of its strong focus on employability and diversity. The university's emphasis on preparing students for the professional world stood out to me, and it’s a place that holds sentimental value.

My passion for law started back in A level, where I fell in love with the idea of defending the righteous and delivering justice to those who need it most. Studying law at university was a natural step for me because it allows me to support my community while making my family proud. I’m motivated by the opportunity to contribute to society and to be the voice for those who need one.

Challenges in coming to university

One of my biggest worries when coming to university was the idea of making friends, as I didn’t know anyone from my Sixth Form attending Aston. However, Aston University’s societies played a crucial role in easing that challenge. They provided me with opportunities to meet new people and socialise, and the Students’ Union quickly became a hub where I made many connections. With Aston being an on-campus university, it was even easier to meet people and form lasting friendships.

Passions and championing causes at Aston

I’m deeply passionate about social justice, which is why I became a member of the Girls Human Rights. This organisation focuses on women’s rights and the struggles they face globally. Being part of this community at Aston has allowed me to actively contribute to the causes I care about and be a part of meaningful change.

Aston has equipped me with the skills I need to break through in my career. The university has provided me with practical knowledge and essential skills that will help me succeed in my future career as a lawyer.
