Course outline and modules
Building Information Modelling (BIM) involves the development of data rich digital 3D models of buildings and infrastructure throughout the lifecycle, from briefing to operation and ultimately to disposal or reuse.
This course includes a mixture of virtual sessions and online self-learning via VLE (virtual learning environment). The two easy-to-follow modules for the Autodesk Revit platform and the Autodesk Navisworks Manage are a perfect hands-on accompaniment to learning, aimed at helping all practitioners, whatever their role and skill levels, to quickly become proficient with Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflows.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Illustrate the basic concepts, links between data and technologies and the real value that can be delivered during design, construction and operations
- Interpret the requirements from different parties, the BIM ISO 19650 standards, processes, and technologies
- Appraise BIM processes and produce project appraisal for design, construction and operation with software tools.
