Course objectives
- Enables you to develop a systematic understanding of the Artificial Intelligence domain and the associated research and professional skills necessary in practice.
- Supports you to develop the expertise to plan, design, and implement appropriate AI solutions in practical scenarios.
- Provides deep knowledge of Artificial Intelligence techniques and develops the intellectual skills to create well-justified solutions.
- Provides practical experience of a substantial AI research or development project from the initial analysis of a problem, through design and planning, implementation, testing, evaluation, and documentation.
- Prepares you for the future challenges of Artificial Intelligence.
Modules
Entry requirements
We expect applications from graduates of BSc with honours in Computer Science or related disciplines with a qualification equivalent to UK 2:2 or higher. Evidence of knowledge of Mathematics and Programming foundations should also be provided when the degree is not in Computer Science (i.e. transcript of a degree programme or work experience). When a transcript is provided, the Mathematics and Programming grades should be equivalent to UK 60% or higher. Candidates may be interviewed before the offer decision.

The United Kingdom government has confirmed that European Union (EU), other European Economic Area (EEA) and Swiss nationals commencing academic courses in England from August 2021 will no longer be charged the same tuition rates as UK students.
Tuition fees for students are reviewed annually and may increase in subsequent years in line with inflation linked to the Retail Price Index (RPI) to take account of the University’s increased costs of delivering the Programme. Any such increase shall always be in accordance with the law. When undertaking a placement year, a placement year fee applies.
