Advice and Guidance for Line Managers and Employees
If an employee has or is suspected of having coronavirus and they are at work, they should go home, contact 111 and follow NHS advice.
If staff absence is potentially related to coronavirus, the line manager should make their Head of Department and HR aware of this, and it should immediately be recorded as sickness in the CORE Portal (see core categories below).
Where employees are unfit to work due to coronavirus or have had to self-isolate, the usual sick leave and pay entitlement apply. Employees are expected to notify their line manager as soon as possible if they are not able to attend work.
