All deliveries to the Main University Building must go to Goods Inwards located in the Post Room located in the basement. More information on the post room can be found here.
Deliveries on campus will only be accepted between 08:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday other than in exceptional circumstances and by prior express agreement. The University does not have facilities to offload large or palletised consignments therefore such deliveries must be made on vehicles with a tail-lift facility. The University will accept no responsibility for the loss of, damage to, or return of goods that are delivered outside of these requirements.
All contractors and deliveries on site must comply with Aston Vehicle's Policy.

Delivery Instructions
Unless there are special delivery instructions, all deliveries on campus must follow the below instructions:
- The driver must access via the post room which is in Potter Street (Car Park 1)
- The driver will then come through a barrier and must inform Security through the intercom of the reason for delivery and what is being delivered
- If Security is aware that there is delivery due prior to arriving on-site, you will be let through (consequently, Suppliers must ensure that they inform their end-user of the delivery date so that the relevant staff member can pass this on to Security)
Important Notes
If you are not required to deliver directly to the end-user, you may leave the item/s in the Post Room. Staff working in the Post Room will then deliver to the end-user.
If you are required or have been requested to deliver directly to the user’s location(s), then you must sign in/out with the University Estates team.
Items and packages must clearly label all the relevant information, including:
- full name of the recipient
- description and quantity of goods
- delivery note/s
- delivery sign-off is required
