Racket Sports

You don't need a membership to take part in Badminton, Squash or Racketball. Just book and pay for a court each time you want to play. You can hire rackets, shuttles and balls from the sports centre reception and the other equipment is provided as part of your booking.

The badminton courts at Aston University are in The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre and are available to hire:

Monday to Friday 10:00 to 21:00
Saturday and Sunday 11:00 to 17:00

The squash courts at Aston University are in The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre

Squash is available and can be booked through the Sport Aston app.

Monday to Friday 7:00 and 22:30 Saturday and Sunday 9:30 and 17:30

Racquet Ball is available in Birmingham City Centre at The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre between:

7:00 and 22:30 Monday to Friday, 9:30 and 17:30 Saturday and Sunday

How to book

You can book up to 8 days in advance. If you are an Aston student, staff member or work for one of the affiliated organisations you will need to show ID when booking.

Bookings are for 45 minutes and depending on which hall you book will start on the hour or half past the hour.
