COVID Safety Measures

Please read our COVID safety measures to help keep us and you as safe as possible. If you are unsure about anything while using the facilities our staff will be happy to help.

Symptoms

Stay at home and follow government guidance if you display any Coronavirus symptoms.

It is important that you stay at home and do not visit the centre if you have any symptoms of coronavirus. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus you should follow the government advice.

Cleaning

We have implemented new cleaning processes. These include:

  • Constant cleaning of high touch points
  • Hand cleaning stations throughout the centre
  • Wipe down instructions for gym equipment so members can wipe down equipment before and after use
  • Cleaning of the gyms after each 60min session
  • Cleaning of the pool after each 60min session
Social Distancing

Whilst there is no requirement for social distancing, you should maintain a safe distance from others. It is within each person’s gift to control how close they are to others. The following procedures are still in place.

  • Reception screens have been installed to keep customers and staff safe
  • Gym equipment is spaced 2m apart or has been put out of use where spacing is not possible
  • The maximum capacity for certain activities have been reduced.
  • Studios have marked areas for participants to stand
Face Covering

As of the 19th July 2021, the legal requirement to wear a face covering in certain settings has been removed. Please see below advice for those who choose to wear a face covering:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser before putting a face covering on, and after removing it.
  • When wearing a face covering, avoid touching your face or face covering, as you could contaminate them with germs from your hands.
  • Change your face covering if it becomes damp or if you’ve touched it.
  • Continue to wash your hands regularly.
  • Change and wash your face covering daily.
  • If the material is washable, wash in line with manufacturer’s instructions. If it’s not washable, dispose of it responsibly in the waste bins provided.
Be Kind

Be kind to staff and each other as we all get used to the new measures. It is going to feel a little bit strange when you visit but we are still there to help. We ask that you are kind and considerate to each other and Sport Aston staff during your visit.
