Why study a research degree?

A research degree (or doctoral degree) provides an opportunity for you to pursue your passion by investigating a specific topic of your choice. You will undertake in depth research into your subject and make a contribution of new knowledge into your chosen field.

You will work with an expert supervisor, who will help you to shape your research project and develop critical and analytical skills.

To help you make an impact with your research you will be encouraged to present your work at seminars and conferences both in the UK and abroad.
