Application guidance
Making an application can be split into the following steps:
- Choose your course
- Check the entry requirements
- Complete the online form. This includes: (i) uploading any relevant documentation, (ii) submitting a research proposal (research programmes only), (iii) completing your personal details
- We'll consider your application and contact you if we require any additional information/documents
- A decision will be communicated to you via email

What can I apply for?
Our online application form is a quick and easy way to apply for all of our non-UCAS courses, which include:
- Research postgraduate programmes in all Schools
- Taught postgraduate programmes in all Schools
- MBA programmes
- Foundation Degrees
- International Foundation programmes
- Exchange programmes
Please note: All undergraduate full-time applications, including international, must be submitted via UCAS.

Aston University welcomes students from all countries. We take pride in our diverse student body who come not only from all over the world, but also from a wide range of social and educational backgrounds. In general, you will need to have the equivalent of a UK first or upper-second class honours degree from your country. We will also consider any significant work experience that you may have. Entry requirements vary between the different programmes and the Grade Point Average (GPA) marks/overall percentage will also vary.
Students are requested to submit their certified university transcripts (translated into English), with their application. The list below gives an indication of the qualifications we consider from some countries.
Sample entry requirements for entry onto Masters programmes
