Welcome to Aston Business School. We are delighted that you are interested in joining our student community and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

We are a business school focused on growth and entrepreneurship with many of our teaching staff coaching and providing expertise to company leaders.

Our ongoing innovative and applied research is influencing the development of policy, locally and nationally, and is also enabling us to gain a better understanding of how businesses can operate more effectively. During your studies you will be taught by some of my colleagues who are engaged in this research. You will discuss and debate their research findings and how this can have an impact on the topics that you are studying.

You will be taught by a number of academics who are also working in industry. We encourage all our academic staff to spend time working in organisations, whether through consultancy, teaching or research, to develop, influence and engage with new approaches to organisational thinking.

We are a business school that wants the best for our students. Not only do we have excellent teachers, we also have excellent opportunities for you to engage with local businesses and to improve your own employability. This year we are setting up a business clinic in which you could work to help local businesses solve problems and take advantage of new opportunities. We are working with local charities which support young people in business, and we also support several of our students each year in setting up their own businesses. At Aston Business School we work with a number of professional bodies, who accredit our courses such as British Psychological Society, CIPD, CIMA and many others, giving you the unique opportunity to gain insight and advice from these professional bodies.

Aston Business School is an exciting and vibrant community. I hope that you thrive in your time with us.

"We are a business school that wants the best for our students."
