Aston University rises in prestigious Eduniversal Business Schools Rankings

  • Aston University rises in latest business school rankings
  • Aston Business School is now ranked joint 11th in UK, up two places
  • Rankings are based on a global vote among business school deans.

Aston Business School has continued its rise in the 2024 Eduniversal Business School Rankings, climbing to joint 11th in the UK - an improvement of two places from last year.

It follows recent successes for the University, having moved up four places to 21st in the 2025 Guardian University Guide and named University of the Year for Student Success 2025 by the Daily Mail University Guide.

The Eduniversal rankings are based on a global vote among business school deans, providing a peer-driven measure of excellence. While the voting process is international, institutions are ranked within their respective countries, offering a unique national perspective on global quality.

Eduniversal categorises institutions into five ‘Palmes of Excellence,’ with the 5th Palme being the highest. Aston University is ranked in the 4th Palme, reflecting its significant national and regional influence.

Aston Business School is part of an elite group of global business schools that hold the gold standard of ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

Earlier this year, Eduniversal also released its rankings at the course level. The Aston Online MBA ranked first in the UK and 24th globally in the part-time MBA category. The full-time MBA placed fourth in the UK and earned a top-20 spot in Western Europe. Additionally, the MSc Business Analytics programme ranked second in the UK and seventh in Western Europe in the ‘data analytics’ category.

Professor Aleks Subic, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University, said:

“I am delighted to see Aston Business School’s rise to joint 11th place in the UK in the Eduniversal rankings, particularly as it is based on a global vote of business school deans, who are recognising the excellence of Aston Business School.

“This reinforces Aston University’s commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our students and driving socio-economic transformation and is testament to the dedication of our staff, the success of our students and the quality of our teaching and research.”

Professor Marian Garcia, Dean of Aston Business School, added:

“This recognition in the Eduniversal rankings reflects Aston Business School’s commitment to excellence in education, research and innovation.

“We are proud to empower students from diverse backgrounds to succeed in work and life, providing them with the skills and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly changing world. By embedding professional practice in all our courses and fostering an innovative ecosystem through initiatives like the Birmingham Innovation Quarter, we ensure our graduates are equipped to lead and innovate.

“Our improved ranking underscores the dedication of our faculty and staff in delivering on our vision to drive positive change, not only within our university but in the communities and industries we serve.

“Aston Business School will continue to strive for excellence and impact, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.”
