  • Aston University is ranked 2nd overall in the UK for ‘health professions’
  • The University is ranked in the top 15 overall for Economics
  • Chemical Engineering is ranked 6th in the UK for student satisfaction with assessment and feedback

Aston University has broken into the top 25 in the Guardian University Guide League Tables 2022.

The University has climbed five places to 25th position in the main league table which ranks 121 UK universities based on measures including entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects.

Aston University is ranked 2nd overall in the UK for ‘health professions’, 8th in the UK for ‘value added’ (actual degree success relative to entry grades) for Pharmacy & Pharmacology and 12th in the UK for ‘career after 15 months’ (graduate employability) for Biosciences.

Economics secured a place in the top 15, while Chemical Engineering is ranked 6th in the UK for student satisfaction with assessment and feedback.

Professor Alec Cameron, Vice-Chancellor at Aston University, said:

“Aston University’s performance in The Guardian University Guide League Tables 2022 is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our staff to providing high-quality teaching and learning and overall experience for our students, especially in these recent challenging times.

“These rankings are a key determining factor for prospective students when choosing where they go to study, but they also demonstrate our continued improvement as an institution.

“It has been a very positive few days for the University, which has also been shortlisted for Times Higher Education (THE) University of the Year.”
