Professor Victor Chang, Aston University

Victor Chang, professor of business analytics in the College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University, has been ranked among the best scientists in the United Kingdom for 2023 in computer science by research.com. 

The mission of research.com is to offer leading researchers better exposure of their achievements. Its rankings of scientists are based on transparent procedures based on well-established metrics gathered from trusted sources of data.

Professor Chang has made it to number 121 on the list in recognition of his expertise, research contributions and positive impacts on the academic community.

His research focuses on the intersection of technology and business, including topics such as blockchain, Internet of Things, cyber security and big data. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed academic papers, including numerous high-profile publications in top-tier journals.

He currently leads three international conferences sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) which have attracted high-profile publications and participants from around the world.

As a result of his service in running and hosting these conferences, Professor Chang has been awarded the INSTICC Service Award. The conferences, IoTBDS 2023, COMPLEXIS 2023, and FEMIB 2023, are highly selective, top-tier events in their respective fields.
