Director of marketing at Aston University

 

Aston University is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Hughes as its new executive director of marketing, recruitment and communications.

Gary joins Aston University from LTE Group, the UK’s largest social enterprise dedicated to education and skills, where for the last four years as group marketing and external relations director, he led and directed on all aspects of marketing, recruitment and communications.

Prior to that, he held senior marketing positions at Manchester Metropolitan University, Leeds Trinity University and Coventry University and Hays plc.

Saskia Hansen, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Engagement at Aston University, said:

“I am delighted that Gary has agreed to join Aston University. He brings with him a wealth of experience in marketing leadership.

“The quality of the experience and outcomes of our students and graduates has been recognised in recent rankings such as The Guardian University Guide 2021 and the Department for Education’s longitudinal educational outcomes data.

Gary joined Aston University on Monday 28 September 2020.
