  • The Economist ranking measures personal and career development and return on investment
  • The ranking reflects the success of innovative approaches like the Aston Edge personal development module

Aston University’s full time MBA programme has been ranked in the top 100 in the world in the Economist Which MBA 2021 ranking. The Aston MBA has been ranked 12th in the UK and 85th in the world.

The Economist ranks programmes against a variety of criteria, including career outcomes, personal development, graduate salaries, return on investment, and networking opportunities with alumni. The Aston MBA performed particularly well for student gender diversity, opportunities to study abroad and salary.

The Aston full time MBA is an intensive programme designed for professionals who are looking to accelerate their career, make a career change or start their own business.

As well as teaching the fundamentals of business, the course includes a personal development programme called the Aston Edge, which helps students to develop core competencies such as leadership, intercultural communication, conflict management and negotiation

Closely aligned with The Aston Edge, the course also provides a comprehensive career management programme of activities designed to help students to maximise their employability, coordinated by dedicated specialist MBA careers consultants.

Every full time MBA student also has the opportunity to be mentored by an Aston MBA graduate, providing them with the opportunity to learn from senior business professionals.

The Economist Which MBA ranking is even more good news for Aston University which was recently named The Guardian University of the Year 2020 and Times Higher Education Outstanding Entrepreneurial University. The Aston MBA has also recently been ranked in the global top 100 for five career specializations by the QS World University Rankings.

Professor Pawan Budhwar, Head of Aston Business School said:

“It is an honour to be recognised in the global top 100 by one of the leading and most respected MBA rankings. This is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion of our dedicated staff, students and alumni. Students who complete the Aston MBA enjoy a life changing experience, and I am delighted to see this acknowledged by The Economist Which MBA ranking.”
