Alumni Mentor Scholarship

Aston University has long been known for producing successful Chinese graduates who work for top global employers such as Amazon, Bank of China, HSBC, Huawei, PwC and KMPG. Approximately 2,000 of our Chinese graduates have returned to live and work in China, whilst around 500 are living and working in the UK.

After graduation, all Chinese students will receive exclusive access to our official Chinese alumni associations, enabling you to grow your professional network and learn about career opportunities.

The Alumni Mentor Scholarship offers Chinese students wishing to study postgraduate courses at Aston Business School a tuition fee discount of £4,000, as well as a year-long mentoring relationship with a successful Chinese alumnus.

How to apply?

In order to apply, please answer the question: “How will you make a positive impact on the world through your future career? How will studying at Aston Business School help you to achieve this?” (maximum 500 words). We will also consider your academic performance when assessing applications for this scholarship.

Please note - you must have received an offer to study a postgraduate taught course at Aston Business School in September 2020 in order to apply for this scholarship.

When is the deadline?

Due to the Coronavirus epidemic we have extended the deadline to 17th July 2020 (midnight, UK time).

Who can apply?

Chinese students applying to study postgraduate taught causes starting in September 2020 at Aston Business School are welcome to apply for this scholarship (excluding the MBA). The scholarship is open to Chinese nationals (regardless of their country of residence).

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

You can only receive one scholarship but you are able to apply for multiple scholarships. If you are successful in being awarded multiple scholarships, the highest value scholarship will be awarded to you. Scholarships will automatically be credited to your student account in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
