Aston University – GREAT Scholarships 2025 – Bangladesh, Egypt, India and Pakistan
Scholarships worth £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course.
Are you considering a postgraduate degree at Aston University? A GREAT Scholarship could be for you.
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Aston University is offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year postgraduate-level taught courses to one student from each of the following countries who enrol at Aston University in September 2025:
(Please note - excluded courses are the MBA and Postgraduate Diploma for Overseas Pharmacists (OSPAP)).
- Bangladesh – September 2025 courses
- Egypt – September 2025 courses
- India – September 2025 courses
- Pakistan – September 2025 courses
The GREAT Scholarships 2025 programme, launched by the British Council together with 71 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at 71 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Eligibility criteria
• Course: One-year postgraduate-level on-campus taught course (excluding the MBA and OSPAP).
• Nationality: Bangladesh, Egypt, India and Pakistan (you must also be a current resident of your country)
• Minimum academic qualification: equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree qualification (except Egypt)
How to apply
To be considered for a GREAT Scholarship, you will need to apply and hold an offer for one of our postgraduate programmes that are starting in September 2025.
- Bangladesh
To check your eligibility to study at Aston University, please refer to our Bangladesh country page. When you have an offer, you will need to complete Aston University Bangladesh GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
As part of the application, you will need to answer the following question in no more than 500 words:
"Tell us about a social or work initiative that you took or was a part of, and how it impacted society and moulded you into the person you are today."
You will also need to create a one-minute video answering the following question:
"How does the choice of programme you have applied to at Aston University align with the initiative mentioned in the essay above as well as your future career goals."

Application Deadline: 30th April 2025, 11:30 PM Bangladesh Time

- Egypt
To check your eligibility to study at Aston University, please refer to our Egypt country page. Please note: you must be an Egyptian citizen, Egyptian resident and have an equivalent of a UK 2:2 degree.
When you have an offer, you will need to complete Aston University Egypt GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
You will need to create a two-minute video answering the following question:
"Why did you choose Aston University for your studies?"
AND
“How will studying this Master’s course boost your future career?"

- Pakistan
To check your eligibility to study at Aston University, please refer to our Pakistan country page. Please note: you must hold an offer for a Science and Technology subject and your course deposit must also be paid by the application deadline.
When you have an offer, you will need to complete Aston University Pakistan GREAT Scholarship Application Form.
You will need to create a two-minute video answering the following question:"Why did you choose Aston University for your studies?"

“How will studying this Master’s course boost your future career?"

Please note that applicants should be residents and citizens of Bangladesh, Egypt, India, and Pakistan.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
You can only receive one scholarship but you are able to apply for multiple scholarships. If you are successful in being awarded multiple scholarships, the highest value scholarship will be awarded to you. Scholarships will automatically be credited to your student account in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
