We have a range of international scholarships to recognise your academic, professional, and personal experience.
To apply for a scholarship, you will need to apply for and receive an offer for an Aston University course first.
Scholarship applications open on key dates throughout the year, and we will share information on how to apply closer to those dates.
For September 2024 we are offering students an automatic scholarship at gold (£5,000 in the first year of study) and silver (£2,000 in the first year of study). There is no need to submit a separate application for this discount, it will appear as a fee reduction when you enrol onto your course.
For September 2024, you could benefit from a personalised Aston award worth up to £10,000.
The £10,000 Aston award combines an Automatic Early Acceptance discount of £3,000 plus one Aston Award scholarship (highest eligible value) worth up to £7,000.
The sooner you confirm your decision to choose Aston University by accepting your place, the more we can support you, and ensure that your arrival on campus is as smooth as possible.
To help you make this important decision so that you have time to prepare for your Aston journey, we are offering all students an automatic £3,000 discount if you accept your place and pay your deposit by the deadline stated in your offer letter. There is no need to submit a separate application for this discount, it will appear as a fee reduction when you enrol onto your course.
Please note: the £3,000 Early Acceptance Discount is available for a limited time only and cannot be granted if the student has requested and been granted an extension to accept the offer. Once the maximum number of £3,000 Early Acceptance Discounts have been allocated this incentive will no longer be available. We will update this webpage to confirm when the scheme will expire.
Please note - applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma for Overseas Pharmacists (OSPAP) PgDip/MSc are excluded from this discount.
We aim to attract the brightest and best students to our practical, industry relevant degrees. If you achieve the equivalent of a UK upper second class (2:1) degree, you will automatically receive a £3,000 scholarship. There is no need to submit a separate application, your eligibility will be assessed by our admissions team when your application is reviewed.
If you also accept your place and pay your deposit before your deadline you can also claim your automatic £3,000 Early Acceptance Discount bringing the total fee reduction to £6,000.
This scholarship is available to all international students. Eligibility criteria for certain countries is listed in the table below. Applications for the Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor's Scholarship are now open.
Sir Adrian Cadbury, was a corporate governance pioneer and a champion of education and community engagement, serving as chancellor of Aston University. His commitment to integrity, ethical business practices, and social responsibility permeated his work and left an indelible mark on the corporate landscape.
This scholarship recognises Sir Adrian’s values and contributions. As a Civic University we are looking for students who are committed to making a difference, who will take the learning and experience gained on their degree to make a positive impact in their communities internationally.
The Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor’s Scholarship comprises of a £7,000 fee reduction and exclusive opportunities for networking and self-development, including opportunities to meet VIP business leaders, attend exclusive events with the Vice-Chancellor Professor Aleks Subic and attend games at Aston Villa FC.
To be considered for this scholarship you must submit an application in the form of a one minute video, introducing yourself, and explaining why you should be considered for the scholarship.
If you also accept your place and pay your deposit before your deadline you can also claim your £3,000 Early Acceptance Discount, bringing the total fee reduction to £10,000. If you are eligible for any of our automatic scholarships you will instead be awarded this scholarship as it is the higher value award.

Although not strictly a scholarship, we are offering students who choose to join Aston University on a taught Master’s degree in September 2024 the opportunity to gain an additional professional management qualification for free.
You can study the Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice from June to September 2024. This is a prestigious professional qualification awarded by the chartered body for management and leadership in the UK, and taught by Aston Business School’s top academics.
Teaching will take place online, and you will have the flexibility to study in your own time.
For January 2025, you could benefit from a personalised Aston award worth up to £10,000*.
The £10,000 Aston award combines an Automatic Early Acceptance discount of up to £3,000 plus one Aston Award scholarship (highest eligible value) worth up to £7,000.
