International Foundation Programme

Students who hold Thanawiya are eligible to apply for a one-year International Foundation Programme, and then progress to undergraduate study.

Undergraduate programmes

Students with the General Thanawiya qualification will require a Foundation Programme before entering bachelor’s level education. Students who have studied the Academic Bridge Programme may be eligible for entry into Aston Business school first-year programmes with a GPA of 3.0+ in a suitable subject mix, and the relevant English Language requirements. If the subject mix is not correct then you will require the International Foundation Programme. For other Aston schools, cases will be assessed on an individual basis.

Postgraduate Masters

You should have at least 3.0/4.0 for postgraduate study from a four year degree at Qatar University. If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree. There are a number of conversion courses at Aston Business School which will accept students from any subject background.

Postgraduate (MBA)

You can come from any subject background, but should have least 3.0/4.0 from a four year degree at Qatar University and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.

Postgraduate Research

Each of our Colleges has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences, and more.

All PhD applicants need to contact the research groups direct with their individual research proposal.
