Over the last 6 years IMI plc has been progressing through a Lean Journey which has involved engaging and supporting our employees in embedding Lean principles, tools and practices. The goal is to develop a continuous improvement mindset, so that we deliver products and services to our customers safer, better and faster and with an ever improving customer experience.
So what has been the impact of the pandemic in the last year on this journey? How has the working environment changed and what will happen next? Andrew Roper, IMI Precision Engineering’s EMEA Regional Lean Director, will talk through how the company has adapted and responded to the changes in the last 12 months and he will explore the future challenges for Lean Thinking in growing a customer centric Business Improvement culture.
Andrew Roper is EMEA Regional Lean Director for IMI Precision Engineering (Norgren). He is an Aston Business School MBA Alumnus with an extensive background in Operations and Business Improvement and is an experienced coach and trainer in Lean Thinking. Andrew is a Chartered Engineer, a qualified Toyota Group Master Trainer and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
