Aston Business School is proud to host its 13th Marketing Research Camp. On this occasion, we bring together world-leading researchers to generate insightful discussions and identify promising research directions in a very relaxed atmosphere. Our four guest speakers and workshop discussion leader are world-leading marketing researchers:

  • Els Breugelmans, a professor of marketing at KU Leuven University.
  • Kathleen Cleeren, a professor of marketing at KU Leuven University.
  • Professor Murali K. Mantrala, the Ned Fleming Professor at the University of Kansas School of Business.
  • Bernd Skiera is a chaired professor of electronic commerce at Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany), a Professorial Fellow at Deakin University (Australia) and a member of the board of the EFL-Data Science Institute and the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft.

What to expect from this event:

  • Presentations - Our guest speakers will present their latest work- in-progress. For each presentation, a one-hour slot is planned to allow for a detailed talk and an insightful discussion.
  • Workshops - Four thematic workshops will be led by our guest speakers and other distinguished researchers. A round-table format of 18-20 participants will enable deep and informal interaction.
  • Networking - Several discussion time slots will be arranged as additional opportunities to meet and discuss in a relaxed atmosphere (last year, participants from over 35 universities across the UK and Europe attended the camp).

To create a convivial atmosphere, attendance is limited to 60 people. We therefore encourage you to register soon. Fees For the research camp a £90 fee is requested. Fees are reduced to £55 for PhD students.

Pre-Research Camp

Sunday 18 June, 12:00 to 16:30

Please note the pre-research camp that is scheduled on Sunday 18th June is going to be run by Professor Murali. It is aimed at anyone who is currently undergoing a research project. The session will start in the afternoon at 12:00 – 13:00 with a presentation titled ‘Developing and Publishing Impactful Research in Marketing’. Then the session will follow with ‘Will it Fly? What I Think of Your Research Proposal’ which is a one to one workshop that would need to be pre-booked with Arseniy Vasilko. You will have a 15 minute slot to discuss your work in progress project, PhD or even DBA with Professor Murali who can provide you with specific tailored feedback in a friendly environment.
