Can you share a memorable project or experience from your course?
One of my most memorable projects was designing and building a robotic horseshoe crab in my first year. This project aimed to raise awareness about endangered species and was a hands-on experience that enriched my learning journey.

Additionally, the Learning Development Centre (LDC) offers academic support, while the Careers and Placements team helps students find part-time jobs, internships, and graduate roles. There are also a variety of extra-curricular opportunities that allow students to develop essential skills required for their graduate roles.
What resources does Aston University offer to support students, and what do you think of the sense of community?
Aston University provides a wealth of resources for students, including a well-stocked library, academic support from the LDC, and dedicated career guidance from the Careers + Placements team. The Electronics Society and student reps further enhance the sense of community and support within the course.
The sense of community among students in my course is strong, fostered by collaborative coursework, the Electronics Society, and supportive student reps. Our focus on practical-based and group work projects creates a supportive learning environment where we learn and grow together
What did you think of the facilities within the course, and overall at Aston?
The facilities on my course at Aston University were impressive. The laboratories were well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, providing students with everything they need for hands-on learning. I was particularly impressed by the dedicated electronics lab, where students can work on projects and experiments under the guidance of experienced staff. The university library offered a vast collection of resources relevant to my course, including textbooks, journals, and online databases. The quiet study areas and group study rooms provided a conducive environment for learning and collaboration. Overall, the facilities on my course exceeded my expectations!
