Our Mission
Equality, diversity and inclusion is incredibly valued within the School of Engineering and Applied Science. We believe that diversity is crucial to innovative thinking and developing creative ideas, which is fundamental to our work and ethos. We also highly value our commitment to equality across the School and beyond.
We aim to strengthen our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion by supporting our staff, students and stakeholders. We're also keen to show our support for relevant initiatives, such as Athena Swan, that recognise the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in higher education institutions. Our engagement in awareness days - such as International Women in Engineering Day - further helps us to promote equality and provides us with fantastic opportunities to celebrate the diversity within our School.
