Y Yang

I am currently a Research Fellow for an EPSRC funded SUPERGEN Bioenergy Challenge Project.

Following the completion of a BEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham in 2009, I joined the Aston as a PhD student working on biomass/ waste intermediate pyrolysis and use of pyrolysis oils as diesel engine fuels for energy production.

In recognition of my research work at EBRI, I was awarded the prestigious "Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad" by the China Scholarship Council (Chinese Ministry of Education) in 2014.
