Update your personal details with the Home Office
If you are in the UK under a Tier of the Points Based System (eg: Tier 4 Student or Tier 2 General), on a Student Visa or you are a dependant of such a person (eg: your visa says Tier 1 Dependant) then you must inform the Home Office of any changes to your circumstances. These changes can be made online.
If you were required to register with the police when you arrived in the UK, you will also need to update your Police Registration whenever you move house, change your course or get a new visa.
The way that you update the Home Office will depend on the type of visa that you have:
If your visa is a sticker in your passport and there are changes to:
You need to notify the UKVI using the Migrant Change of Circumstances form (MCC), for which there is no charge.
You can also use this form to notify the UKVI of any other changes that you think are relevant.
If your visa is a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) and you need to change:
You must apply for a new BRP (RC). The fee for a new BRP is £56. You can also use this form to notify the UKVI of any other changes that you think are relevant.
If there are changes to:

To update your address only, you can use this online form.
