The University has been listening to your feedback on the need to offer more spaces for informal study outside of class time. In response, the Executive team took the decision to move out of the corridor on the ground floor that previously housed their offices and meeting rooms to free up space to create a new, contemporary suite of student learning spaces that include the different types of learning spaces you have told us you would like to see at Aston.

To enter the competition, please submit your suggestions below.

The University will then pull together a shortlist of the most favoured names, from which you will be asked to vote for your favourite name.

Competition guidelines:

  1. In terms of choosing a name, why not visit the space and think creatively about naming suggestions. The space cannot be named after specific individuals under the University’s ‘Policy on the Naming of Buildings, Facilities and External Spaces.’
  2. Multiple entries from individual students are permitted.
  3. By submitting an entry, you are consenting to your name being publicised should you name be selected as the winning name.
  4. Should your name be chosen, you consent to it being used as a name for the new study space.
  5. The deadline for entries is 19 November.
