Café Libro

Café Libro

Café Libro sits on the right-hand side of the main Library entrance, offering the perfect escape during those long hours of study with a selection of Cafeology coffees, cold drinks, sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and cakes.

Tierra Food Court

Aston's Food Court is located in the Main Building, serving international cuisine from six different counters and catering to all dietary requirements. Dine with us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or ‘grab and go’ if you're in a hurry.

We have a large seating area making socially distanced group work possible, so why not grab one of our Costa coffees and set up your next meeting here. 

Eros Café

Eros Café

Located in the corridor of the Aston University Main Building, Eros Café is a dedicated outlet for vegetarian and vegan diners.

The Aston Meal Plan 

The Aston Meal Plan allows students living on campus to eat at Cafe Libro, Eros Cafe, and Tierra Food Court including Costa Coffee, without the need for cash. 

  • On a weekly basis, £43.85 is automatically credited to your student ID card (for non-Aston students a meal plan card will be set up), which you can use as your payment card in all our outlets. 
  • You can use this money at any time Monday to Friday between 8am–6pm. 
  • Our vast array of dishes and grab-and-go offers will provide you with plenty of choice. 
  • For every £1 spent, you'll earn 10 loyalty points – that’s effectively a 10% discount! These points can be used in any Nourish outlets for the purchase of food and drink.

At a total cost of £1052.40 per annum, this is great value and will help new students in particular settle into university life quickly, without the stress of having to shop and cook food for themselves on a daily basis. 

Please note that the Christmas out-of-term weeks are excluded in the meal plan.

Hospitality

Hospitality is no longer offered as a delivered service. We can, however, supply certain services such as packed lunches or cordoning off part of Tierra for meetings.

Payment within the retail outlets can be made by:

  • Using the University department credit card and reclaimed on expenses (following the University’s expenses policy)
  • Having a hospitality purse added to your current staff card
  • Obtaining a separate Nourish hospitality departmental card.

Balances can be easily monitored at the time of making a purchase. Cards and credit can be obtained from Nourish administration following a simple booking process, which can be found here.

Earn points when you spend 

Our new loyalty scheme is automatically available via your ID card – no need to register! Simply tap your card on the reader at the till before you pay, and your points total will appear on the screen as your new points are added.

  • You can collect points from all Nourish outlets on any food or drink purchased.
  • For each full £1 you spend, 10 points will be added to your account.
  • Each point is worth one penny.
  • Points can be redeemed at any Nourish outlet.

Meet The Team 

The catering team have been working together for a number of years now, and we're proud of what we do. We all work on our strengths and support each other to deliver a great service to our customers.

Kate Glynn – Head of Catering Services 

Kate is responsible for overall operations including development and execution, for all student and staff feeding, hospitality and vending services across campus. Kate’s biggest job is making sure her team make her look good! 

Richard Thurman – Retail Operations Manager 

Richard is responsible for the smooth running of the day to day operations. He ensures your experience will be one that will make you want to come back and see us again whether you’re having a hospitality event, or you’re a customer in one of the retail outlets. 

Camiquea Bryce-Jordan & Inez Grant – Retail Supervisors 

Camiquea and Inez ensure you’re welcomed with a big smile from their teams and all your customer needs are met, while making sure the team deliver great customer service.

Carla Campbell – Chef Manager 

Carla makes sure the food you receive is delivered to a high quality consistently by her kitchen team, she writes the menu’s, ensures there’s a great variety available to suit all tastes and pockets and monitors allergens for your safety. 

Sonia Wittin – Catering Administrator 

Sonia supports the team in all that they do, she ensures the department runs efficiently by ensuring all bookings are logged onto the diary and that bookers expectations are met, supports HR side of things along with a few finance duties!
