The chaplaincy team at Aston University is celebrating 50 years of delivering pastoral care with a series of celebration events and activities in 2022.

Today the Martin Luther King Centre (MLK) is a multi-faith chaplaincy positioned in the middle of campus with a regular programme of events, where nine part-time chaplains covering many faiths provide a listening ear, and cater for those or all faiths or of none, regardless of background. While the Chaplaincy has been in the MLK Centre since 2011, it was first situated above the Vauxhall Dining Centre which was completed in 1972. The 2021/22 academic year marks the 50th anniversary of the MLK, a unique place for staff and students alike.
