If you’re returning for final year following your placement, now is a good time to reflect on what you’ve learnt over the past year. Think about any skills, experience and knowledge that you’ve gained.

These are things you’ll need to be aware of when making applications for graduate jobs, so it’s worth reflecting early on while your placement is fresh in your mind.

Try writing down some examples of how you’ve used skills such as presenting, leading, organising, problem-solving or communication during your placement. These are all skills that a potential employer will value, so keep a log of this information so it’s ready to refer back to when you start applying for jobs.
