Congratulations!
Your journey with Aston University and Careers and Placements doesn’t end here! You can still access our support for another three years after graduating.
Not much changes when you leave us, in fact, a new layer of support becomes available to you in the form of our dedicated graduate team. They can help you plan your next steps after graduation, ensuring you are well equipped to reach your goals, whatever they might be. The graduate support team are available for both on-campus and remote appointments, meaning you can still access their support whether you’re in Birmingham or Beijing.
During your time as a student at Aston, it’s likely you will have used Aston Futures to book appointments, find events and search for job opportunities. The good news is your access to Aston Futures doesn’t stop when you’ve graduated. You can still access the portal as a graduate by signing up for a graduate account. It’s really quick and easy to set up and it means you will still be able to book an appointment with our team, find and attend our events and even search for exclusive job opportunities you won’t find elsewhere!
As an Aston student, you will have enjoyed access to several online tools and resources to support you with things such as CVs, video interviews and psychometric testing. As a graduate, you can still access these, but just in a different way. To find out how to set up graduate access to any of our online tools and resources, just email us and we’ll let you know the process.
We’ve created a LinkedIn group for graduates to help you connect and network with others. Our graduate support team also post regular updates on opportunities, events and helpful resources. To access the group, simple request to join and once we’ve checked your status as a graduate, you will be granted access.
If you’re graduating this summer, you will hear a lot about the Graduate Outcomes Survey over the coming months. But what is it? The Graduate Outcomes Survey is an annual survey sent to all UK university students 15 months after graduation and it aims to learn about what you’re been doing since leaving university. It gives you the chance to have your say about your university and post-university experience, and this information helps shape the picture of higher education in the future. Here’s a short video to help explain it all.
You’ll receive the survey using the contact details we have stored for you at Aston University, so to ensure you receive the survey, you will need to get in touch should there be a change in your contact details.
