The Masterclass Series
A series of standalone Masterclasses that will help you to deliver measurable impact in your organisation
If you have previously attended the Aston Professional Managers’ Award (APMA) you will already be aware of the benefits of understanding the concepts and fundamental principles across a range of key management disciplines and how you can apply these principles to improve decision-making within your organisation.
There has been a keen interest from past participants to build upon the knowledge and skills gained during the APMA. In response to this we have designed a series of short online Masterclasses, that can not only build on existing learning but are also applicable to individuals who have not been through the APMA but are looking to find out more about particular topics.
The Masterclasses will give you the opportunity to step outside your day-to-day routines and will introduce the latest academic and practitioner focused thinking which will help you deliver impact back into your organisation.
We hope that the positive impact you receive from the Masterclasses reaffirms your relationship with Aston University or for those joining for the first time will be the start of a long-term beneficial relationship, which may lead to an interest in the full Aston Professional Managers’ Award.
The first of the series to be available is:
It’s a challenging time to be managing supply chains. People often find it difficult to relate to the supply chain concept or more recently sustainable supply chains. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, we all have, as consumers of products and services, seen empty grocery shelves, delays and staff shortages and this has brought supply chain disruptions into sharp focus.
These and other supply chain challenges are not going to go away in 2022/23 or indeed in the near future. Brexit, the war in Ukraine, factory and port closures in China, unprecedented extreme weather events and sharp increases in prices, to name but a few, have all created a complex and challenging context for managing global supply chains. Added to this is the increasing focus on creating sustainable supply chains, with the necessity to consider not only the economic impact of supply chain decisions but also social and environmental.
In this short interactive masterclass you will be introduced to the latest academic and practitioner focused thinking on sustainable supply chain management.
During the three-hour on-line session you will explore concepts, models and tools, through case-based learning, to help you to identity and know how to manage potential supply chain risks, as well as how to develop and implement sustainable supply chain strategies.
Topics that will be covered include:
Anyone who is curious about the concepts and wants to understand a little bit more about supply chain risk and sustainable supply chain management.
Experienced supply chain practitioners who want to hone their knowledge and understanding or want to share their experiences.
Each 3 hr online masterclass is available at £95 per person.
