Would your organisation be willing to partner a postgraduate module at Aston Business School?

Aston Business School is offering you the opportunity to engage with our postgraduate students, and receive research-informed suggestions for solving business issues that you pose to the students.

Partnership: how does it work?

Partnership requires you to do just 3 things:

  1. Identify a business issue that students could explore during a particular module and come to meet with the students to tell them about the issue.
  2. Come back a few weeks later and receive student ideas about how to address the issue. This could be in the form of presentations, or you could ask for written ideas/posters/something creative!
  3. Choose at least one student who has impressed you, and give that student a placement in your business lasting for a minimum of 4 weeks. This does not have to be paid, but if you were able to pay the student that would be great.

To give continuity to the process, we would like businesses to commit to engage with partnership for a minimum of 2 years. This would be the academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21. You can present the same business issue each year if this is most convenient.

Partnership: what do you get in return?

In return for getting involved you get a range of interesting solutions to the business issue that you explain to the students. Students will be applying their teaching, which is based on the latest research. You will also get the opportunity to see the students’ work, which will give you the opportunity to identify potential recruits for your organisation.
