Why I chose Strategy and International Business at Aston University

Studying in the UK has been a dream of mine because the universities are top-notch and there are plenty of job prospects.

When I found Aston University's MSc Strategy and International Business programme, it felt like the perfect match.

Even though my background is in management, I've always had this itch to dive deeper into strategic subjects. I believe this will help me fine-tune my problem-solving and leadership skills, setting me up to be a great leader in the future."

What I enjoy most about my course

The Strategy and International Business course prioritises interactive learning. Professors and students work together, fostering valuable discussions where you can freely express your thoughts, seek feedback and gain diverse perspectives on various issues.

The quality of teaching is outstanding and I find constant inspiration from my instructors.

The course structure is designed to enhance your organisational skills, a feature I truly value.

There is no competition, everyone is here to help you and lots of additional seminars are provided to international students who might struggle with the new university system."

Extra-curricular activities

I am currently the events manager for ESN Aston where we welcome all the exchange students who are joining Aston University. Being part of this club is a great opportunity to get out your comfort zone and meet new people from different background and expand your network."

My advice for students considering Aston University

Aston [University] is a place where you can meet so many different people from a variety of countries; it’s a great place to expand your network, learn from others and challenge yourself by stepping out of your comfort zone. Don’t be scared, just do it and I can assure you that you won’t regret it!

Try things. We are young and most of the time we do not really know what we want to do. Explore new topics, be curious, reach out people on LinkedIn, ask for feedback.

Don’t join a company just because of its name, understand if a company is the right fit for you as well."
