Business Enterprise Development students take home awards celebrating young entrepreneurs

The annual Rocket Day Awards 2024 held in May, marked five years of BSc Business Enterprise Development at Aston University. The event celebrated the achievements of the Team Academy Aston community, including Business Enterprise Development students who excelled this academic year. With over 70 team entrepreneurs and supporters in attendance, the awards recognised student efforts and accomplishments. 

The event also serves to thank the business community who make real world learning and the growth and development of student enterprise possible, forging lasting networks and connections between Aston University and the business ecosystem. 

The event was organised and hosted by Euphoric Events, a Team Academy Aston business, with special thanks to Rhys Jones and Lucas Priestly. 

The event had many sponsors and showcased numerous guest speakers including Professor Zoe Radnor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences.

    Many entrepreneurs and supporters were recognised for their support of the Team Academy Aston community, with the main awards of the evening being presented to: 

    • Learner of the Year – Yean Phothiset, BSc Business Enterprise Development student and Esther Danladi, MSc Business Enterprise Development student 
    • Leader of the Year – Rafi Abdur, BSc Business Enterprise Development graduate 
    • Entrepreneur of the Year – Alex Kyte, Louis Silvestri and Alex Follows, BSc Business Enterprise Development students
