Sport Aston

If you don’t want to leave campus to get your workout Sport Aston Is the go to place to get fit, stay fit and most importantly have fun working out and enjoying the range of facilities we have to offer.

The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre is home to a fully functional gym, multiple studios and courts alongside Birmingham’s oldest, but most stunning operational swimming pool.

Sport Aston also manages the Aston University Recreation Centre in Great Barr, which provides grass pitches for hire and a floodlit all weather pitch. This is set across 48 acres of greenery providing beautiful views in a relaxing environment. The centre also has functions rooms and break out areas for public hire.

Clubs & Societies

Aston Students’ Union currently has 24 active sports clubs all dedicated to different disciplines. The perfect way to continue a sporting hobby from back home by competing at university level competing in BUCS leagues against other Universities.

Euro 2028

Whilst it may seem a long way off, still watching Euro 2024 on our TV screens. The U.K. and Ireland will be hosts of UEFA Euro 2028. Those enrolling this year undertaking a four year degree with placement will find themselves graduating during the height of the tournament and with Villa Park set to host a number of games, you may just be there in person to witness Jude Bellingham score another bicycle kick.
