Biology for a Better Tomorrow

In collaboration with the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), our School of Biosciences has released two new videos showcasing our highly regarded research as part of the ‘Biology for a Better Tomorrow’ campaign which aims to show the vital role bioscientists play in responding to real-world challenges.

The videos feature interviews with bioscientist professors and PhD students discussing their work on dementia prevention, traumatic brain injury research and more.

Biology for a Better Tomorrow campaign is a comprehensive digital series created in partnership with the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) and Content With Purpose (CWP). This series delves into the vital work of biologists, highlighting how their expertise is driving progress towards a sustainable and equitable future.

Breakthrough research on brain health

How does the brain clear waste?

Why is sleep crucial for brain health?

What is the structure of brain cells? How can we develop more effective treatments for brain injuries and diseases?

Our groundbreaking research at the Institute for Membrane Excellence (AIME) into brain health could revolutionise treatment options and slow the progression of diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
