Meet Wafa Alosimi, the Aston University graduate teaching the next generation.

After completing her MSc Business and Management  at Aston University, Wafa decided to continue her studies where she will complete her PhD at Aston Business School.

Wafa now works as a Business Lecturer.

Why did you choose to study at Aston University?

"I chose to study at Aston as they had a distinctive advantage by offering a personal development programme (PDP) known as Aston Global Advantage."

Why did you choose to study Business and Management?

"I chose Business and Management because there was a wide range of modules, like operational management and marketing, with a good selection of elective modules. In fact, because of one of these modules, I am now pursuing research which is about entrepreneurship."

 

Did you do any extracurricular activities or join any clubs?

"I was a team member of TEDx Aston University 2022 during the pandemic. It was truly a very good experience and allowed me to adapt to changes and complete projects with my team members."

Did you complete a placement? 

"Yes, my internship was based in the UK as Funds application writer. This was an eye opening experience as it allowed me to work directly with the subject matter expert and learn from his experience and guidance. "

Career advice for students? 

"Do not give up and expand your options, always seize the opportunities that come your way. "

 

What would you say to any student thinking of studying your course at Aston University?

"I always recommend Aston University to my colleagues who want to go abroad and learn new things. At Aston, you are surrounded by supportive culture and very dedicated staff with the highest level of excellence in delivering the lectures."
