Global Alumni Ambassadors play an essential role in international recruitment for the university every year.
In this role, you will be the key contact for the prospective students, where you will be responsible for sharing your Aston experience with students close to your home.
You will expand your network and share invaluable insights into Birmingham's student life. How does it feel like moving into accommodation? What did you enjoy about living in Birmingham? You can help answer these questions and much more. As an ambassador, you will connect with prospective students from all over the world, whether via our Unibuddy platform or social media such as LinkedIn.

Requirements for a Global Alumni Ambassador role
International, EU, or Home-based Aston Business School Master’s students who can share their experiences of studying at Aston University and living in Birmingham and be:
Students who are patient and can give sound advice to support students through a period that can become stressful
Flexible and willing e.g. alumni that will use their free time to give the next cohort of students the best possible start
Articulate and ideally, speak the language of the country where you are currently a resident
Able to positively engage with people who are interested in studying at Aston Business School
Time commitment required for the role
One academic year renewable upon agreement of the Alumni Relations Team. You will volunteer once the students get into contact with you. Normally starting after your graduation in the Spring.
What we would like you to do for us
Provide the Alumni Relations team with a short testimonial, photograph, and link to your LinkedIn profile to use on the Aston University global ambassador page on the University website.
Give practical advice on what to expect when they arrive at Aston University, how to make the most of their time on campus, and settling into a new country.
Respond to all email queries from prospective students in a timely manner.
To seek advice and support from the Alumni Relations team about issues you are unsure of (including visa processes, application information, course information, etc.).

A key contact person within the Alumni Relations team to whom you can turn for advice and support; we are always here for you whenever you need us!
