Samantha Burns

Sam Burns is Executive Director of Legal and Governance with responsibility for the legal, governance and risk functions across the University. Sam joined Aston in March 2023. This is Sam’s second stint at Aston, having previously worked as a member of both the legal team and Law School. Prior to returning to Aston, Sam worked in a legal leadership role at UKRI with responsibility for all litigation matters across the organisation. She has worked in the legal profession since 2009, both in private practice and in-house roles.
