Aston University celebrates 50th anniversary of the KTP programme in the UK

The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) scheme, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious innovation programmes with the first project starting in 1975, has reached its 50th anniversary. Aston University has achieved a significant milestone by managing over 40 concurrent projects, the largest KTP portfolio in the UK.

The KTP programme helps companies from a wide range of sectors to benefit from world-class innovation, fostering collaboration between businesses, academic institutions, and researchers to enhance business competitiveness through improved knowledge, technology, and skills.

Aston University is a sector-leading KTP provider and an active participant since the scheme's inception, contributing significantly to its development. With 80% of its completed projects rated as very good or outstanding by Innovate UK, Aston is a leading provider in the KTP programme.

 

We are currently number one in the UK for KTPs with the largest KTP portfolio, and sector-leading quality.
