Overview of funding available
Maintenance loan (UK Students)
This is paid to you to help cover costs such as rent, course materials and living. The amount you get is awarded based on your household income. Good news, you don't start to repay the loan until you are earning over £21,000.

Maintenance grant (UK Students)
Similar to the maintenance loan. The maintenance grant helps you cover living costs, but you will only get this if your household income is below £42,600 per annum. You will not need to pay back this funding when you start earning.

If you achieve AAB or above in your A Levels (or equivalent), you are eligible for the Aston Excellence Scholarship worth £4,000 over a typical Aston University degree. Aston also has a range of income-based and a placement year scholarship for current students.
