All our Conferences, Masterclasses, Pre-16 Guest Lectures, Challenge Days and University Visit Days are free to attend. However, due to the limited number of places available on these events, please note that Schools & Colleges Liaison have a cancellation and non-attendance policy in place.
For all events held on campus we require at least a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice if you wish to cancel your attendance or any places you have previously booked. For all cancellations made with less than 2 weeks’ notice a cancellation charge of £15 per student will be incurred. The same charges will apply if attendance on the day at any of these events falls below 75% of the expected number of students booked on to attend.
Students are expected to attend for the duration of these events. If students leave the event before the advertised finish time without permission from their teacher and a member of Aston University staff, a cancellation charge of £15 per student will be charged to the school or college
University Visit Days/Campus Visits
For University Visit Days and bespoke individual school/college Campus Visits, where large group bookings (50+ students) are made to visit the campus, a one off charge of £225.00 will be imposed on to the school/college should they cancel their group booking within 2 weeks’ of the event.
If attendance falls below 75% of the expected number of students at a University Visit Day or a bespoke individual school/college Campus Visit a charge of £15.00 per student will be incurred by the school or college.
If a school or college fails to attend an event they are booked on to this will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation charge will be incurred by the school/college. The cancellation charge will not be imposed if the school or college who are unable to attend are able to find a replacement.
