Student Mentoring

Our Peer Mentoring scheme offers support for students from students. Peer mentoring is a mutual way of support. It helps both mentor and mentee to develop their skills by sharing experiences. Their relationship is confidential and based on individual needs. The nature of this support is mainly pastoral, a sharing of experience, tips and handy hints. It is not academic tutoring, as the scheme is about supporting each other to develop interpersonal skills.

Student Volunteering

Student volunteers help support sports, drama, art and music in the local community of Aston, Nechells, Handsworth and Lozells. Students have the chance to make a difference to the lives of local children; they gain new skills, enhance their employability, make new friends and most importantly have fun!
