Teaching

There are two possible routes that students might take into teaching*:

* all places are subject to annual NCTL allocations


1. The PGCE Primary     (QTS)

The PGCE Primary (QTS) route can be taken by graduates from a number of disciplines including:

  • BSc Mathematics
  • BSc English Language
  • BSc Biology
  • BSc Applied Physics
  • BSc Chemistry
  • BSc Psychology
  • MPharm Pharmacy

Students must apply early in semester 1 of their final year, as soon as the NCTL portal opens, due to the highly competitive nature of the primary programme.


2. Secondary Schools

Students could take the following routes into teaching in secondary schools:
