Logistics is concerned with the flow of materials in the supply chain; from source through the total industrial process to the customer and then on to disposal or re-use/re-cycling.

By co-ordinating all resources logistics ensures that service levels are acceptable to customers.

Our programme will provide you with a detailed understanding and knowledge of logistics and its place in all types of industries. The range of professional and general management skills you will develop will be invaluable for careers in logistics and many other areas of graduate employment.

You will benefit from a wide range of teaching and learning methods, including:
  • lectures, tutorials and project work
  • planning exercises, simulations, computer packages
  • company and site visits
  • assessment by a combination of continuous assessment, such as coursework and tests (25%) and end-of-year exams (around 75%).
Your final degree classification is determined by your performance in the second and final year.

For further information, see the programme specification (PDF).

At the end of the second year, you can choose to benefit from a paid twelve month professional placement.
