Economics at Aston offers students a broad range of expertise and the ability to develop meaningful specialisms with real world applications. 

Aston Business School Economics courses exploring the application of economics theory and practice in a real world context, combined with placement year opportunities, leave Aston graduates well placed to make meaningful impact on the world of work.

Programmes taught through the School of Languages and Social Sciences bring the academic rigours of Economic theory and an interdisciplinary approach to understanding contemporary Economic theory in a broad range of contexts. 

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences allows numerical and analytical students to pursue Maths and Economics combinations.

The School of Languages and Social Science has 100% of its REF submission for Modern Languages and Linguistics rated at 4* or 3* for research environment, ranking Aston joint 1st in the UK.

Aston Business School is among only 58 institutions worldwide (i.e. less than 1% of business schools globally) to be granted triple accreditation. The school was ranked 8th in the UK and 33rd in the world by QS in 2012.
